Country Club of Darien, SE Additions & Renovations
Planning started early for the SE corner additions and renovations of the clubhouse. With work extending over most of the clubhouse for about a year, the team had to manage the phases of construction to minimize the disruption to the membership. The historic medallion room was removed, and a new 2 story structure was built in its place. The old terrace was completely renovated including a new sliding glass wall system on the 3 sides - around the perimeter. This allows the main ballroom to open up to the terrace and south lawn for year round use. Renovations extended throughout the first floor including: the entry lobby, circulation, pub entrance, and a new wine /dining room. The landscape work included the Veranda off the new Oak room, the South Lawn, and a new dining patio by the pool clubhouse.
