Laurel Mall, Laurel, MD
A program for repositioning an tired older
suburban mall was initiated by new owners. The biggest issue was the
visibility. The mall fronts a very busy Route 1, but the public entrance
is cut off by a parking deck. Fabric structures were introduced along
the road to act as a new gateway to the site. One was also introduced
at the top of the garage to draw attention to the building. These
light airy fabric structures and dramatic lighting are coordinated
with interior finish and graphic improvements.
