30th Street Station, Philadelphia
Once the grandest train station in the Northeast
corridor, 30th Street Station was in a depressed state. The historic
restoration plan started with a forensic investigation of original
materials of: limestone walls, painted surfaces, light fixtures, track
signage, building signage and concourse flooring. New design standards
emphasized the historic store fronts and materials, while allowing
tenants to express modern retailing standards.
